The world of the Shinobi is a dog-eat-dog world, so you're on your own. Loyalty is relative, and friendship is hard to maintain. This is true for every Shinobi, regardless of their nation of origin or special abilities.

Missions are a regular occurrence, taking the shinobi out of their village and into the world to accomplish objectives. Sometimes they are easy, like escorting a young woman to her home. Sometimes, however they are nearly impossible, like stealing a secret scroll from an enemy village. The primary objective in any mission, though, is to stay alive.

A shinobi faces death almost every day. Life isn't all problems, though. Shinobi fall in love, marry and even have kids. The occasional assassination doesn't dampen their spirits.
